When it comes to weddings, it is hard to please everyone. Believe me, I know. There are parents to consider, grandparents, in laws & out laws, siblings, bridal party, aunts & uncles, and even the guests. Its a lot. All the consideration could begin to drive any normal person insane if you let it.
When I started planning our wedding, I started to consider everyone’s thoughts and opinions. At the end of the day, it stressed me out more than anything trying to please everyone around us rather than pleasing ourselves when it came to our wedding day. So, we finally came to the conclusion that its always nice to hear what people have to say but, at the end of the day, the decisions are up to us. You only get married one time, better to enjoy it all and have what YOU want rather than spending so much time pleasing everyone else.
Luckily, my bridesmaids were the easiest people to deal with. I chose three bridesmaids dresses for my ladies to choose from on the Alfred Angelo website. Luckily, everyone voted for the same dress!! Easiest decision that we have had to make to this date!! It made me happy that we didn’t have to disappoint anyone or make any of my bridesmaids unhappy about the dress or color they were going to be wearing on my wedding day.
Did you choose one style or many? What worked for your wedding so everyone was happy?

Well DeAnna.. I must say we do have one thing in common… I have 10 bridesmaids as well. The numeral was not of my choosing but of my fiancee. I truly feel we have switched roles in this process. I am the guy and he is a the girl. I want a small wedding, and he wants a big wedding. lol. Anyhow.. I also had to communicate with my ladies via texting and facebook b/c of our busy schedules. I have 2 matron of honors since my fiancee has 2 best men. I decided to have my 2 matron of honors dresses’ are different from my 8 bridesmaid dresses’. When choosing the dresses, i tried to think not of my ladies budgets due to economy and other things going on in their lives. I was very pleased to find a 2 dresses that both my matron of honors and bridesmaids love and it was in their budget!
Thanks again for your blogs! I enjoy reading them as I prepare for my own day on July 28th 2012!
