Gown of the Week – Alfred Angelo style 2349

Gown of the Week/BRIDES Magazine Cover Style-Alfred Angelo style 2349

Alfred Angelo’s just released wedding dress, style 2349, graced the July 2012 cover of BRIDES Magazine.

This modern ball gown features an asymmetric draped taffeta bodice, rhinestone and crystal waist pin, tiered organza skirt and chapel train to fit and flatter most brides.

We love it because it’s versatile.  It’s formal enough for a black-tie wedding, but also light and airy enough for a destination wedding.

It has high-wattage glamour and drama, without overwhelming a bride.

BRIDES Fashion Director, Rachel Leonard says of selecting the cover gown, “We knew we wanted to shoot outside for the July cover, so we chose this Alfred Angelo dress.  We thought it would look amazing with the sunlight filtering through its sheer layers.  It has a great soft and flowy look for a late summer wedding.”

Gown of the Week-Alfred Angelo style 1136

Gown of the Week-Alfred Angelo style 1136

Feel like a true princess in our designer’s pick for this week’s Gown of the Week.

A sparkling, crystal-beaded bodice A-line wedding dress, with gently draped skirt, and semi-cathedral train accented with sequins and rhinestones make 1136 a can’t-miss style!

We love it for its draping and cinching effect at the waistline, making the waist appear smaller.

Decadent beading at the bust and neckline enhance the decollatage.

The soft, shimmer satin fabric is flattering on every skin tone, and adds elegance.

Be sure to stop by a Signature or Partner store this weekend to try this figure-flattering wedding dress on!  Find your store here.

Gown of the Week-Alfred Angelo style 2104

Gown of the Week-Alfred Angelo style 2104

Style 2104 is our designer’s pick for this week’s bridal gown of week!

We’re feeling luxe and traditional this week.  If you’re planning a formal wedding and you want a flattering gown that can stand the test of time in photos, Alfred Angelo style 2104 is a great pick for you.
The loose pick ups throughout the taffeta skirt combine with the crystal beading and metallic embroidery to softly reflect light.  We think this makes it especially beautiful for an evening wedding.

We love this wedding dress because it has just the right amount of embellishment and the pattern takes the eye across and down the entire gown, while the side ruching does its job to define and cinch the waist, making an hourglass figure out of even the most rectangular shapes!

A back photo would be amazing especially in a grand cathedral. With a lace up bodice and cascading pickups, even from the back the gown is beautiful to look at.

We see him wearing a traditional tuxedo with a cummerbund and bow tie.  Very classy and classic.  Of course, Roses are a must!

More good news…it is available for quick delivery in every size with no extra charge.  So even if you haven’t been planning forever, you can still wear this gown.

NEW! Gown of the Week-Alfred Angelo style 2117

Gown of the Week-Alfred Angelo style 2117

We are loving style 2117.  How about you?

Is it the way the soft taffeta skirt looks so amazingly luxurious?

Is it the fact that the sweetheart adds volume to a smaller figure and provides great coverage and peek-a-boo cleavage to the more generously endowed?

How about the ruching making us all look a little longer and leaner than maybe we actually are?

Its hard to say…but I think it is the billowing skirt.  I love the way it flows and it looks amazing when you are walking down the great white aisle!

Try it on this wedding dress this weekend and let us know if you agree!  Find a store here.
