Introducing our real bride of the month, Ashley!
Ashley and her husband met nine years ago in Utah, where she was attending college. “We were working together at a restaurant and fell in love over boiling noodles!” she recalls. “We’ve been together ever since.”
Ashley’s wedding gown, Sapphire Style 801, wasn’t the style she thought she wanted at first. But thanks to her Alfred Angelo stylist’s recommendation, it ended up being the one. “It perfectly fit the mood of my destination wedding in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico,” she says. “I still look back at it and swoon.”
Inspired by Castilla San Felip del Morro—their ceremony venue—Ashley and Charles planned an old-world charm wedding with touches of gold, lace, peach and gray. After a sunset ceremony, they celebrated at El Convento, a boutique hotel and former convent also steeped in history. Ashley picked the locale without ever seeing it in person, but it fit their vision and exceeded all expectations.
“Getting married on the fort at sunset, surrounded by loved ones, was a highlight of my life,” Ashley says. “Puerto Rico will forever have a special place in my heart, as it was the perfect backdrop to my special day. My dress was the last piece of the puzzle that pulled it all together.”
Special thank you to Ashley for sharing her special day with us! You can read more about her wedding day as well as her travel adventures via her blog, Have Ashley.
