Brides-Like-Us---2015.pngIntroducing our real bride of the month, Paloma!

Paloma met her husband Anthony thanks to her mother and his grandmother. The two worked together to set the couple up on a blind date, which was nerve-racking at first. When he picked her up, however, Paloma instantly knew there was something special about him.

The two hit it off, bonding over sushi and things they have in common, including their military backgrounds (They both come from military families, and Anthony himself was in the U.S. Army.). “After our first date we decided to be together, and the rest is history!” says Paloma. “He proposed almost two years later on June 4, 2015, at my favorite yoga studio with all of my friends and family there to surprise me and witness the moment.”

When it came to wedding dress shopping, Paloma went in looking for lace and A-line. “I struggled to find a dress to fall in love with,” she says. “To change it up, I decided to try on a dress I thought I would never choose, Style 2469. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one… When I stepped out of the fitting room, everyone started to cry—including me—I had found my perfect dress!”

Paloma’s bridesmaids wore Style 8615L in Morning Fog, which they all felt beautiful and comfortable in. “That was my number one goal,” Paloma says. “They looked stunning on our wedding day.”

For their wedding, Paloma and Anthony went for a country style and vibe, with blush pink and gray as their colors. “Everything was rustic, handmade and special to us,” says the bride. “Our wedding was very relaxed and sentimental.”

After getting ready separately, the couple’s wedding day began with a very special first look. Then came the big moment. “As I walked down the aisle to my soon-to-be husband, I was taken by how amazing the moment was, especially since we decided to have an unplugged ceremony, meaning no electronics except for our photographer. This made the moment so special, as everyone was present and feeling the moment.”

The celebration continued with a great cocktail hour filled with homemade corn hole, drinks and delicious food. One of Paloma’s favorite moments was when the couple ran through the reception site’s barn doors for their grand entrance. “We had a reception filled with love, dancing, emotional speeches and partied into the night before we rode off together in the vintage car.”
