Alfred Angelo Dresses Holly Durst for June 2012 Wedding
BACHELOR Reality TV star Wears Alfred Angelo Wedding Gown for Ceremony
Philadelphia, PA – June 2, 2012 –Holly Durst walked down the aisle to wed Blake Julian in best-selling Alfred Angelo bridal gown, style 2117. The luxe taffeta mermaid gown features a dramatic sweetheart neckline, fitted asymmetric, elongated, draped bodice, and tufted skirt with a sweep train. Holly customized her wedding dress with a sash from the Alfred Angelo bridal collection.
Holly selected her gown after visiting the Alfred Angelo Signature store in Atlanta, GA. Holly first previewed the Alfred Angelo bridal collections in 2010 on the runway at the Alfred Angelo bridal show in New York. Holly said of her bridal gown, “I couldn’t be happier with my Alfred Angelo wedding dress! It was really hard to choose because there were so many beautiful choices, but I knew I found my dream dress the moment I put it on! I was fortunate enough to meet Michael Shettel, the designer for Alfred Angelo. He was so helpful and sweet. I feel honored to be wearing one of his dresses. My bridal party and I will be looking great all thanks to our gorgeous dresses from Alfred Angelo!”
Durst joined the cast of the twelfth season of ABC’s The Bachelor. Holly came back to the franchise for the second season of ABC’s Bachelor Pad 2, where she won the competition and met Blake. On the final episode of Bachelor Pad 2, Holly and Blake revealed to the nation that they were engaged. Shortly after her engagement announcement, talks began with designer Michael Shettel about her bridal gown.
Says designer Michael Shettel, “When I first met Holly, I knew she’d be an exciting bride to work with. She was full of energy, yet relaxed about the process of finding her gown. Initially, she was drawn to a traditional ball gown with lots of sparkle. Next, she tried a few fit and flare styles to highlight her figure. Then, for her final try, she found the perfect combination of both. We personalized her gown (2117) by removing the beading at the neckline and adding a crystal encrusted sash to emphasize her tiny waistline. It was a great pleasure to work with Holly and make her dream a reality.”
Durst’s wedding party wore bridesmaid dresses from the Modern Vintage by Alfred Angelo collection. Holly chose style 8602, a strapless soft net gown with pleated asymmetric bodice, in light pink “Cameo”, with a custom white satin sash.
